The IRS has keeps telling my clients that their 2019 W-2's/W-3 are missing.  I transmitted all of them through  quickbooks.  Is anyone else having an issue with their 2019 w-2's?

Hello, mreller.

As I've checked, I haven't found any reported issue about missing 2019 W-2's/W-3. You should receive a notification that the submission is completed if you transmit all of them through QuickBooks.

If the W-2 forms are successfully submitted, you'll have the option to view them. This is how to do it:

  1. Go to the Employees menu.
  2. Choose Payroll Center.
  3. From the Payroll Center, go to the File Forms tab.
  4. In the Filing History section, click the Save Filings tab.
  5. Click the View link in the Audit Trail column for more details.

If you're unable to find it there, you may encounter some issues during the time you file those 2019 W-2 forms. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support. They can access your account and look through the forms you've submitted.

You might also want to read the following articles below to know more about filing W-2 and W-3 forms in QuickBooks:

Additionally, you can invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce. They can see both their W-2s and their pay stubs in this way. For more details, see the attached link: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, and W-2s if you use QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Let me know if you need anything else. I'll get back with more details to help you.
