Thanks for returning to the thread and adding more details regarding your W2 with incorrect EIN. Allow me to chime in and share my thoughts to help you with this.
Before anything else, I'd like to clarify which product you are using. Is it QBO or QBSE? If you are using QBO, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Support Team for assistance in correcting your W2 form with incorrect EIN in 2023 W2 and taking care of the taxes that were not deducted in 2023 as per W2.
To speak with one of our experts from QuickBooks Online Payroll Support. Please follow the steps below to contact support:
1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company. Select Help (?).
2. Choose either tab: Assistant or Talk to a Human.
3. Search or click Contact Us.
4. Start a chat with a support expert.
You can contact us from Mondays to Fridays, 6 AM to 6 PM PT, and Saturdays, 6 AM to 3 PM PT.
However, if you are using QBSE, I suggest contacting your employer and requesting the corrections. You can read this guide about 1099s in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It will give more details on W-9 info and the 1099 form.
