WCPS for Quickbooks online

Hi,

Can someone help me to understand how to calculate the amount to pay for worker's compensation for my employees. I can do it using Quickbooks desktop, but I am learning Quickbooks online and I still can't figure it out. I can see a dollar amount for Premium Wages Paid, but how is this amount calculated?

Also, I am not using AP Intego Worker's compensation, so I believe everything needs to be manually. Can anybody explain the difference between using Intuit & AP Intego vs another company please?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello there, CPG Recycling.

AP Intego is an Intuit partner which helps your clients get the coverage they need to comply with laws in their state. If you'll not be using the AP Intego and decided to manage workers comp manually, QuickBooks follows the state regulations.

To assign a workers' comp class to an employee in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Workers
  2. Choose Employee
  3. Select the employee's name.
  4. Click the Edit ✎ icon next to Employment.
  5. Enter the name of the worker's comp class.
  6. Click Done.

To know more about how workers' comp works in QBOP, see the below articles:
