Upon checking on my end, I have not found any open investigations related to this error, @maggiesv. I understand the importance of being able to save your transactions, and I'm here to assist you in resolving this matter.

To start with, I recommend opening a private window to see if it's a browser issue. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Using a private browser prevents websites from using cookies and doesn’t record any history and data.

Here’s how to do the private browsing:

  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

If you can finally save the invoices, it's safe to say that it's being caused by the browser. You can clear your browser's cache to refresh it. Click this link for the guide: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.

In the event it continues occurring while using incognito, you'll initially have to try switching to another browsing application. Here's a list of supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari 11 or newer

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, we recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Online Support Experts for further assistance. They have the expertise to investigate the problem more thoroughly and provide you with a tailored solution.

Additionally, it might be beneficial for you to take a look at this article, which provides instructions on how to enable automatic payments for recurring invoices in QuickBooks: Set up Autopay for recurring invoices in QuickBooks Online.

If you need more help or have any other questions about QuickBooks, please let me know by replying below. I'm available and prepared to assist you at any time.

same problem here now that they have the new invoice. QB should just post the solution as QB support takes forever and they almost never fix the issue as I am living with other issues for month that they cannot fix. Bring back the desktop version as it was way better!

Still an issue. Stop with the generic answers that dont fix anything. Issue after issue are posted in these forums and there is never a solutution, just BS apologies, fake sympothy, and work arounds that work on occasion. I can not wait to throw QBO into the garbage.

OCTOBER 5 Same problem for me too, the new invoice is not as nice by the way

I had this issue for about 6 months and just lived with it after contacting support to fix which they did not until 6 months later when it went away for about two months and now it is back. This is not a browser, cache issue etc. as I have the same issue on multiple computers. There is an issue with the software and it is a waste of time to contact support as I have done that it the past with this issue and others and the fix nothing. Just fix this bug and stop telling people to fix their browser etc. This issue is 2+ years old so we are all paying $1200 or more to this company!!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!
