Question

We filed and paid our 941 Q1 through QB. The money was taken out of our bank account. Why does QB still show that our Q1 payroll taxes are past due?

I'll help fix your 941 payroll taxes concern, jelainebro.

If you're using Full-Service Payroll, I'd suggest contacting our FSP support to have them check your Q1 payroll taxes that are showing past due on your taxes page. Here's how:

  1. Go to Help (?).
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then click Continue.
  4. Choose a way to connect with an expert.

If you're not using Full-service payroll, you'll want to log in to your QBO account via incognito or private browser. There can be times that the browser stores frequently accessed resources, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. You can refer to these shortcut keys:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P for Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  • Press Ctrl Shift N for Chrome.
  • Hold down Command Shift N for Safari.

If it works,  clear your browser’s cache to speed up the loading process of the QBO website and for the system to start fresh. Also, ensure to use a supported browser.
