We're glad you've reached out to the Community forum, Smith35102. Let me share insights when managing employees and payroll in your account.

When managing an employee's status, you'll want to ensure this employee is set to Inactive or Not on Payroll status to prevent you from any charge on your payroll. Terminated employees will no longer appear on your active payroll lists and won't be charged on future billings. You can also visit this reference for more detailed information: Terminate or change your employee's status on payroll.

Also, for every active or on-paid leave employee on your payroll, QuickBooks payroll terms may vary depending on your account subscription. Feel free to visit this guide: Payroll Services Pricing

However, we'd still recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support team to help you verify the correct charges incurred in your payroll account. Here's how to reach them:

  1. In your QBO account, click the Help icon and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter your concern and click Let's Talk.
  3. Select Start a chat or Get a callback with a support expert.

Moreover, I've included this guide to help you run specific payroll reports so you can view relevant data about your business and employees: Run payroll reports.

We'll keep an eye on this thread for any additional queries you may have when handling employees and payroll. You can always leave a reply below, and we'll ensure to back you up. Keep safe!
