Let me further explain to you about the pay schedule and what it is about the help function, Stevie.

Once you've added a pay schedule to your employee, you cannot remove it. Instead, use a different one to avoid confusion. May I know what specific area you have issues with? In the meantime, here's how you can set up, assign, and update a pay schedule:

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Employment details, select Start or Edit.
  4. From the Pay schedule ▼ dropdown, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward. Or, to create a new pay schedule, select + Add pay schedule.
  5. Fill out the appropriate fields. Then select Save.
  6. When you're done, click Save.

Please know that you'll have to select or enter the correct pay period ending when editing the pay period.  On the other hand, QuickBooks provides general answers when you enter a specific keyword on the Help function. If you have a particular problem with payroll, I suggest contacting our support team so they can address properly your concern. You can follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Click Payroll for your concern, then select Callback.

Furthermore, you can take a closer look at your business finances and employees. Learn how you can run a report that you can use to view useful information about payroll. I've added this article for more details: Run Payroll Reports.
