When does this new "Scheduled Payment" option process?

I have an invoice that the status says "Payment Scheduled" and it is 3 days past the due date and no payment has posted yet. The client showed me his receipt from Quickbooks saying he scheduled it on the due date. What is going on with this. This scheduled payment option as a pink "New" box next to it. I've never seen this before

Let me elaborate on some details of what the scheduled payments process means, Flores.

This Schedule Pay helps your customers pay on time by allowing them to choose the date on which they like to pay when they view the invoice. Once you accept online payments for invoices you're all set with this feature.

You'll have to let your customers know about this option so they can set up a scheduled payment directly from the invoice. Please know that the Schedule Pay feature can only be set up for the full amount. Once your customer makes changes to the amount, this will no longer display. Here's what they are going to do:

  1. Ask the customer to open their invoice from their email, then select Set a date.
  2. Have the customer sign in using their Intuit account.
  3. Ask the customer to make sure the scheduled payment shows the correct date.
  4. After they check everything, have them select Schedule payment. They'll receive a confirmation email when the schedule for the payment is set up.

To check if the Schedule Pay is already set up for an invoice, you can view the Activity Tracker:

  1. Go to Get Paid & Pay or Sales, then select Invoices.
  2. Find the invoice you want to check the payment status.
  3. Select the status field of that invoice to bring up the activity tracker.

To know more details about the feature, check out this article for reference:  Get Paid With Schedule Pay On Invoices In QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, once your customers make payments, QuickBooks automatically downloads the latest transactions and suggests categories based on how your customers categorized similar transactions. Is there any way to determine when the payment is scheduled?  The autopayment feature of Quickbooks Online is unnecessarily opaque on the vendor side.

Thank you for joining the thread, @ma2364.

I'd like to help you out with your concern but I would need to dig a little deeper on this.

Can you please specify if you are referring to QuickBooks Online bill pay? If you have a screenshot, that would be helpful.

I'd appreciate any additional details that you can provide so I can help you out. I'll be keeping an eye out for your response.
