When entering a trip in the MILES menu, the date automatically changes and saves to a date other than the date entered in the dialogue box in the TRIP menu.

Upon review, we didn't receive reports from other users about the mileage entry altering its dates when entered in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), Frazer. Allow me to help you with this by initiating some troubleshooting steps.

There are instances when the platform behaves unusually because of excessive data utilities. It can impact the overall performance of QuickBooks features. To rectify this matter, let's commence some browser troubleshooting procedures.

To begin with, kindly open your QBSE account using a private browser. This method blocks external resources like cache and cookies from being stored in the system. Please follow these keyboard shortcut keys to proceed:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you can enter your mileage seamlessly without errors on the dates, re-open your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies. Doing so helps QuickBooks revitalize its system and regain its full functionality. You can also consider using another supported browser whenever the problem persists.

I'm also attaching this resource you can access to gather insights on how QBSE computes your mileage reductions: How mileage deductions are calculated in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Drop by again on the Community page if you have more questions about manually tracking your mileage or whenever you need assistance handling your business transactions in QBSE. My team and I are always here for you.
