Good to see you here in QuickBooks Community, @Pam11_2. I’ll provide some information about how direct deposit and its funding time works in QuickBooks.

Thanksgiving Day 2022 is on Thursday, November 24. If you run your payroll on this date, banking is usually closed during state holidays. This means your direct deposit will be processed the next business day (Friday).

Bank-free days include the weekends, so your direct deposit won't be taken out of your account until the following banking day. That's why your employees will receive the funds on Monday.

As a workaround, you can issue a paper check to pay them on time. See this article for the complete details: Change a direct deposit paycheck to a paper paycheck.

For more in-depth details on direct deposit scheduling and and how this can be affected by government holidays, refer to these resources:

Furthermore, you can always run other payroll reports to get useful information about your business and employees. Just go to Reports from the left menu. Then, enter a report name in the Search box. To view the list of the payroll reports available in the program, visit this article: Running Payroll Reports

Tag me along if you still have questions about your payroll processing time or any payroll-related concerns. I'll be happy to answer them for you. Have a great day ahead!
