Hello info-libertypaci, I appreciate you posting your payroll question to the community forum. Allow me to jump in and provide some assistance to make sure you can save your tax information in the Payroll settings window.

I wanted to start by asking if there's an error message aside from the white screen. This is for us to make sure that we're giving you the best troubleshooting steps to sort this out.

It's also possible that the white screen instead of the page to enter your state information may be due to a browser-related issue.

Sometimes glitches with the browser or cached files can cause pages to not fully load or display properly in QuickBooks Online.

Here are some general troubleshooting steps that can help resolve many common browser problems when working in QBO:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies - This removes any outdated files or data that could be causing display issues.
  • Try a different web browser - See if the problem persists in a different browser like Chrome, Firefox, etc. This helps isolate browser-specific problems.
  • Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version - Outdated browsers can sometimes cause display glitches.
  • Disable browser extensions/addons - These can sometimes interfere with page loading.
  • Try in incognito/private browsing mode - This eliminates any custom settings as a factor.

After that, go back to the Payroll Settings page and check if you can already put in your state tax information.

In addition to the troubleshooting tips I provided, here's an article that covers some further options for resolving similar issues: QuickBooks Online Doesn't Load Correctly Or Has Blank Pages.

In addition to the troubleshooting tips provided, I wanted to share a few helpful QuickBooks Online resources and articles that you can be useful as you continue working in QBO:
