When will Contractors become supported by QuickBooks Workforce?

To make it plain, allowing contractors to view paystubs and 1099s as employees can view paystubs and other tax documents is an enhancement that is much needed & is being asked for by the community in multiple posts.

Let’s make it happen, folks.

Let me give you the details on what you can do for your contractor's, thelogicwizard.

Currently, contractors don't have an option to access Workforce like employees and view their pay information. However, you can invite your contractors to complete their profile and submit a signed W-9 online anytime.

  1. Go to the Payroll tab then select Contractors.
  2. Click Add a contractor.
  3. Enter the contractor's name and email.
  4. Check the box to invite them to enter their information.
  5. Click Add contractor.

Once done, we’ll send your contractor an email inviting them to fill out and submit their W-9 info. They’ll either log in with an existing Intuit account if they have one or create a free account to securely share their tax info with you.
