When will the 2021 940 be available in QBDT?

When will the 2021 940 be available in QBDT?  It was released by the IRS on December 3rd, and here we are a month later, in 2022 and QBDT is showing the 940 as still a draft form.  And before you ask, yes I have run the latest payroll updates.

I have details to share about the Annual Form 940, SAustin.

 

There's an open investigation about the watermark "DRAFT FORM ONLY - DO NOT FILE" in Form 940. This means that engineers are already working on a resolution to remove it completely so you can prepare the form. 

 

A new update is also scheduled to be released early this week to resolve the issue. Please keep an eye for any prompts to re-download an update or any email coming from us about this. 

 

I would also recommend reaching out to our payroll support team so they can add you to the list of affected users. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Contact Us.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Provide a short description of your concern, then click Continue.
  4. Select between Chat or Callback.
