We paid five employees. One went to direct deposit as planned. The others didn't. The settings are the same.

Hello there, Andy. I got the information you need about direct deposit, and I'm here to ensure your employees will receive it.

First, let's confirm your funding time to know how long it currently takes for employees to receive their funds. Please follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Gear icon, then go to Payroll settings.
  2. Scroll to your Direct Deposit section.

Next, let's review your employee's bank information. If the details are inaccurate, the funds will be rejected and returned to your bank account, which can take 2-3 business days after the scheduled pay date.

Here's how to check your employee's bank information:

  1. Hover over the Payroll menu, then select Employees.
  2. Choose the employee who did not receive their funds.
  3. From the Payment method section, press Edit.
  4. Verify the bank account information. You can ask your employee to validate with their financial institution if the details are incorrect.
  5. Update it, then hit Save.

These are also the few scenarios that lead to the issue of employees not receiving their funds:

  • There's an issue on the financial institution's side.
  • The pay date occurs on a weekend or holiday.
  • Your direct deposit payroll was submitted after 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, the cut-off time. In such cases, the process is on the next banking day.

If your employee still hasn't received their funds by 5:00 PM after the set date, I recommend contacting our payroll experts. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure manner.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to the Help menu and press the Search tab.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Choose a specific topic or Ask about something else. Type in a short description in the box provided.
  4. Select Continue, then pick the Chat or Callback option.
