Why am I not able to run payroll? I am on QBO PAYROLL, and everytime I click Preview Payroll I get a error message: "Something went wrong. Give us a minute and try again.

Why am I not able to run payroll? I am on QBO PAYROLL, and every-time I click Preview Payroll I get a error message: "Something went wrong. Give us a minute and try again. I have been trying for the last few hours, and need to run the final payroll of 2023? Can you please let me know what is going on and how I will be able to process everything?

Before anything else, know that we recognize the urgency of this matter and want to help you get through this as soon as possible. Upon checking here on our system, there's an ongoing investigation about customers who cannot run payroll. Our engineers know about it and are working on a fix as soon as possible. I recommend contacting our support team so they can add you to the list of affected users and receive updates once it's fixed. You can follow these steps to contact our customer care team:

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Online, select Help.
  2. Select any tab to get started and type in your concern.
  3. Select Chat or Get a callback.

Having same issue, good to know they know and are working on it. However, it's 1/1/2024, no Chat or Get a Callback capability/option. 

 

Also, it would be a good idea to have QB status issues noted online where is currently shows no issues which makes up circling back to these support forums:

I am curious if you were able to resolve this issue? I've been trying to fix a similar error code with tech support for the past 2 days without success
