Why can’t I auto categorize all mileage

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, you need to manually categorize your trips even if you automatically track the business miles. Thus, categorizing mileage automatically isn’t possible. All trips need to be reviewed to ensure everything is accurate.

The good thing is, you can categorize those business miles in bulk. I’m glad to show you the steps.

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account through a web browser.
2. Go to the Miles menu.
3. Select the miles you want to categorize or click the check box beside Date to select everything.
4. Choose either Mark as business or Mark as personal.
