I have reconciled my account, but when my accountant logs in he tells me that my account has not been reconciled. Why is that?

Hello, Mom of three.

Not to worry, I'm determined to help you find the missing reconciliation. I would like to know if you are still able to see the Finish now button on your reconciliation page? If so, it means that your account hasn't been reconciled yet.

To ensure your account is reconciled, we can run a Reconciliation report. This will display the prior account reconciliation.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Reports and select reports
  2. Enter Reconciliation reports in the search bar.
  3. Press the Summary
  4. It will pop up and Reconciliation summary report.

Additionally, we can also generate an Audit log to see when is your account was reconciled or if someone made changes to your data.

On the other hand, if you have already generated the Reconciliation report and used the Audit log feature, it indicates that your account has already been reconciled. I suggest logging in to your account through the private window. This is a good way to find out if the problem is with the browser.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, check your reconciliation data. If it works, let's clear the browser's cache. This removes its stored cache to ensure the program performs efficiently.

You can also use other supported browsers. They'll provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.
