Hello there, @deal1tc. Let me share some insights on why your payroll adjustment shows up as a journal in QuickBooks.

If you add payroll through a journal entry, it will be reflected as an adjustment in the journal. An adjustment created by your accountant may also appear in the journal as a way to correct small errors or categorize transactions that were not previously recorded.

However, if it was made by our Support Team, I suggest contacting them to verify the adjustment. They can also perform a payroll correction to directly exchange the amounts. To reach them, follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
  • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
  • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

You can also run payroll reports to help you keep track of your employee information, business finances, and payroll details. For detailed steps, check out these articles:

Please don't hesitate to reply anytime if you have other payroll questions. I'm more than happy to assist you. Take care.
