Why i can't run the payroll now, when can i run it?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Let me help you check to see why you can't run payroll.

 

Before anything else, do you encounter any error messages or have any pending direct deposits? Or are you using the same pay period? This might be why you're unable to run your payroll.

 

In the meantime, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. Sometimes, the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

 

If it works, clear the browser's cache so the system will start fresh. Alternatively, switch to a different supported browser if you get the same result while using a private browser.
