Why is direct deposit not depositing on the 24th?

I'll help you run your direct deposit (DD) seamlessly, @ren-tools.

Since Christmas day falls on Saturday (Dec. 25th), it will be observed on the preceding Friday (Dec. 24th). Thus, if the direct deposit pay date falls to Dec. 24, 2021, it will be processed on Monday (Dec. 27,2021). 

To ensure you can process your DD on Dec. 24th, I recommend submitting your payroll two days before a holiday. This way, you can pay your employees on time. You can also refer to this link to learn more details about the process: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?
