Hello there, accounting. I'm here to provide information about the paycheck not showing on your payroll bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To clarify, are you implying that the funds for your new employee's paycheck are not showing on your bank statement? If so, please note that there can be a delay in reflecting split direct deposits depending on your direct deposit lead time.

If the amount is reflected on your bank statement but not in QBO, I'd recommend verifying that the payroll bank account associated with the paychecks is correct. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Click on the Pencil icon in the Accounting section.
  3. Review the Paycheck and payroll tax payments section to check if it's the correct payroll bank account.
  4. If the bank account is incorrect, be sure to choose the correct bank account.

Moreover, to review where the split direct deposit is currently posted, you can check the new employee's paycheck in the Paycheck list. If it's the incorrect bank account, you can create a Journal Entry (JE) to move the funds to the correct bank account. Then, match it to the downloaded transaction on the Bank transactions page.

Additionally, you can run payroll reports to get a comprehensive overview of your business finances.

Let us know if you have other concerns with your payroll in QBO. We're here to help you in any way we can.
