Question

Why is the only effective date available 4/1/2024 when setting up the 2024 Washington State Paid Family Medical Leave premiums? The 2024 rate is effective 1/1/2024.

Hello there, bevtera.

The effective dates 4/1/2024 and 1/1/2025 for Paid Family and Medical Leave are currently accessible in QuickBooks Online.

As the 1/1/2024 option is not appearing, it might be a browser-related problem, or  need to refresh the page to receive the latest updates. Here's how:

  1. Access your QBO account in an incognito or private browsing window to make sure that cached data isn't causing the issue.
Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
    Safari: press Command Shift N
  2. Once done, clear your browser's cache and cookies. This can often resolve issues related to stored data.
  3. You can also use other supported and up-to-date web browsers

The articles below will serve as additional reference about managing Washington (WA) workers' compensation. Also, you can run payroll reports according to your needs.

If you have more concerns about tracking paid family and medical leave in Washington, let me know.

Hi, Thanks.  It didn't solve the problem, so I chatted with Online help and the Payroll Specialist was able to set up the tax with the effective date of 1/1/2024 for me after I supplied a screenshot of the WA website showing the statewide tax rates for 2024.
