Why my SSN is stating it is an ITIN number

I'll share some information about Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). QuickBooks Online payroll doesn't support ITIN. We can only carry employees with valid SSNs as per IRS regulation. As a workaround, you may use a dummy number in the employee's record, so that you can run payroll.
