Work location address

I have changed our address everywhere possible in QuickBooks (including workplace address) and our old address is still printing on employee paycheck stubs.  How do I change this???

I appreciate you raising your concerns here in the Community, @Courtann10. I can help you change the address by heading to the payroll settings.


Let’s change our view to your account. Here’s how: From the Gear icon, click Switch to Business View (highlighted in blue below the Profile).

 

 

 To ensure that the new address will appear on the paycheck stub, let’s update the employees’ new work location.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Choose Employees and then click on the employee's name.
  2. Tick the Edit box next to Employment.
  3. Update the new work location from the Work location area.
  4. Click OK or Save.

 
Please note that you'll have to manually adjust each employee's work location since we don’t have the option to apply it to employees by batch.

I have tried all of the above and the new address is not updating when I print a paystub.

Thanks for coming back, Courtann10.

 

We'll need to add the new work location on the Payroll Settings to enter the new address. Just follow the steps below: 

  1. Click on the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Payroll settings under Your Company.
  3. On the Preferences page, go to the Business Information section and tap the Work Locations link.
  4. Hit the Add a Work Location link to access the Work Location Address.
  5. From there, enter the new address.
  6. Press Save to keep the changes.

 

The new work location information is now added to the company. Then, follow the steps provided by my colleague to update the employees’ new work location to ensure that the new address will appear on the paycheck stub. 

 

If you need to change the primary location, we'll need help from our Payroll Support Team to get it done. Additionally, Changing a primary state article covers the complete information about updating the employee's tax information and assigning a new primary new location to workers.
