Workforce/Time App - Android Missing Clock In Function

Hello - 

 

 One of my employees has an android and has successfully downloaded the app, has all permissions correct and the app itself shows it's compatible with his system. He is unable to find the "dashboard" and also cannot clock in - any suggestions for this? Is there another access point to clock in on the android app?

We have also reviewed previous clock in steps provided on the support page, no luck.

To clarify, is his device (Android) up-to-date? 

 

Also, if you can provide me with a screenshot of how the app looks this will help us determine the next steps you need to take.

Yes, his android is fully up to date. 

He has re downloaded the app multiple times and still no luck. 

All the other settings are also up to date on my end and for the other associates. 

Currently his screen only has the ability to request time off, review time sheets - no "dashboard" or "clock in" area like the other employees have.

Thanks for clarifying, @Mollymoo77. I understand the urgency of fixing the clock function in your Workforce. Allow me to share some details on how to resolve this issue.

 

First, we need to verify if the user has been granted the Mobile Time Entry permission, to ensure that they can successfully clock into the app. Here's how:

 

  1. The admin needs to go to the web dashboard and then select My Team.
  2. Click the three dots icon︙.
  3. Select Edit, then go to Preferences.
  4. Check if the Mobile time entry is ticked.

 

Once done, your worker can clock in seamlessly using their mobile phone. If the issue persists after verifying, I recommend contacting our support team so they can further investigate why such a thing has happened. To do so, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to QB Time and choose Find answer and get help.
  2. Write your concern, then select Contact Us.
  3. Select either of these tabs:
  • Assistant tab and select Talk to a human.
  • Search tab and click on Contact us to connect with a support expert.
