Advanced payroll and cookies problem in Chrome and Edge.

Hi there,

I've been helping out a colleague who has recently upgraded to Advanced payroll. When logged in, if the web session is left for 20 or 30 minutes with no activity, an prompt is displayed on a webpage asking them to check that third party cookies are not blocked. Settings are OK in the browsers and this only appears to happen after a period of inactivity. Is there a solution?

All the best,

Adam

Hello Adam, just reloading the page should resolve it, at most you would need to go back to the dashboard then back to payroll.

Hello Adam, Thanks for your question. What browser are they using for the web session, does the same thing happen in a different browser? Also, can we check in the settings cog in the top right of QuickBooks>account and settings> advanced>other preferences that this is on the longest time 3 hours?

Thanks for your reply.

So it works in both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Both browsers up-to-date and neither blocking 3rd party cookies. Settings set to the maximum session time of 3 hours.

When this happens, they are using other websites or applications. So they're actively using the computer, it isn't going to sleep.

Thanks

Adam
