American based vs UK based.I need to take payments in person but to set this up it is asking me for SS number and only gives American address? Can I change to UK base?

It seems that you're trying to set up QuickBooks Payment. I'm here to share some insights why you're ask for a US address. 

 

QuickBooks Payments is only applicable for US and CA based companies. If you are running a service provider, you can utilize a 3rd party proposal management app with the payment processor feature to accept payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club (International), Discover (Domestic) and Direct Debit (BACS).

 

In QuickBook Online UK version, you can accept payments using PayPal and Credit Card. For more information about this payment method, you can browse and review this resources:
