Can anyone tell me why I suddenly can't add mileage, it was fine before and suddenly stopped working this week?

Hello there, @clarefree-hotmai. I can help you fix the mileage tracking feature on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) App on your phone.

 

An application won't work due to its setup or the phone's settings. Below are some reasons that contributed to the issue:

 

  • The device temperature isn't stable.
  • It has no clear view of the sky.
  • It is in low battery-saving mode.
  • The application isn't open in the background.
  • The device and application aren't up-to-date.
  • Phone storage is full.
     

To fix this, you can follow these troubleshooting steps for iOS devices:

 

  1. Turn the device off/on.
  2. Turn GPS/Location services off/on and ensure location for QuickBooks Online is enabled:
  3. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Settings. Ensure Location Services at the top is toggled On. Toggle off and back on again to refresh.
  4. Then, find the QuickBooks Online app in the list and set it to Always.
     

Ensure location settings are set to Precise Location:

 

  1. Go to Settings tap Privacy.
  2. Select Location Settings. Find and tap QuickBooks Online in the list.
  3. Then, enable Precise Location.
     

Turn Airplane mode on then off again to reset all wireless radios:

 

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Toggle Airplane Mode On and then Off again.
     

Disable any battery saver settings or apps:

 

  1. Go to Settings tap Battery.
  2. Ensure Low Power Mode is toggled off. If you have Battery saver apps, ensure the permissions are set to not include the QuickBooks Online app.
