You can work with one of our specialists in letting our engineering team investigate why you're unable to connect with HMRC in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll show you how.
- Go to Help.
- Select Search.
- Click Contact Us.
- Enter a few words describing the message prompt upon attempting to connect with HMRC in the What can we help you with? field.
- Select Start a conversation or Have us call you.

Thanks for all your help with this issue, i managed to solve it, below are the steps i took incase anyone else has issues.
1. Sign out of MTD in quick books
2. Don't sign in back yet, first sign into your business gateway and complete verification
3. Now sign back into MTD in quickbooks
