Categorise Payment to Son for hours worked - not Payroll

Hiya Peeps

 

I have paid my son for some ad-hoc work that he has helped me with but now need to have that payment, and expense, in my QBO.

This is not Payroll as falls well below the need for that but simply a few hours worked.

 

Where would the expense be best placed in ref. to Chart of Accounts?

You can create an expense account for ad-hoc wages in your Chart of accounts. Once saved, this account can then be selected on the expense transaction (+ New > Expense) in the Category field to record the payment.
