Change scheduled pay date

As we approach another payroll year, is there yet any way to change the pay date on an existing payroll schedule? We changed our pay day a year ago but QB still shows the old date and thinks payroll is overdue when it's not paid on that day...

Yes, I have clicked the cog and given feedback, several times!

(This is QBO standard payroll)

Hi richard96,

The only way to do this would be to create a new pay schedule and then create the employees as new (with the same payroll ID) and assign the new pay schedule to each. 🙇‍♀️

Hello Richard,

Welcome to the Community page,

If you have a look at this article here it tells you how to edit a pay schedule in standard payroll.

If you are wanting to set up multiple pay schedules if you have a look at this link here it tells you all about what to do.

Thanks but they only work if you've never run a payroll. The article says:

"After you run your first payroll in QuickBooks, you won't be able to make changes to the pay schedule unless you delete the entire payroll."

Under the table Employee, there is an item, "Add or Edit Payroll Schedules". The steps from there are change the dates to your next cycle and save.
