CIS return done manually - No option to record this in QB

My October CIS return failed to submit via quickbooks so i did it manually with HMRC, but in QB my return is still in the status "rejected" and the only action is to "prepare return' I do not want to use that option because i do not want it submitted twice so how can i mark it as complete?

Thanks for dropping by the Community, @Sam5010.

Since you already filed your CIS through the HMRC, you can manually mark it as filed in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how to do it:

  1. In QBO, go to the Taxes menu at the left pane to get to the CIS page.
  2. Look for the CIS return that you need to change.
  3. Tick Prepare return under the Action column.
  4. Choose Mark as Filed from the drop-down beside Submit to HMRC. Joesem Molat1.JPG
  5. Click ContinueJoesem Molat1.JPG

Also, we received reports regarding users unable to submit their CIS return in QBO. A ticket has been created and forwarded to our Product Engineers. They're now working to fix this as quickly as possible.

You may contact our Support team so they can add your details to our notification list. This will help our Engineers determine the number of affected users. Here's how to reach them:

  1. Click the Help (question mark) icon at the top right of your account.
  2. Select Contact Us at the bottom to connect with our live support.

An email notification will be sent to you once this has been resolved. I'll also inform you here when we get the update as well.
