Core Payroll Net Pay Posting

Let me show you how to change the account where net pay is posted in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), @Pam142.

In QBOP, you can go to the Payroll Settings section to change your payroll preferences, including how your transactions are mapped. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
2. In the Accounting section, click the Pencil icon.
3. Select the Pencil icon in the payroll expense you wish to change. Then, choose an account in the dropdown and click Save.
4. Select Done.

In Core Payroll, we cannot edit the journal entries automatically created by the system. Since you need to correct any existing payment entries, you'll need to enter a new one. I recommend reaching out to your accountant to ensure appropriate accounts are used.
