Does anyone know why my payroll status says payroll finished and it wont let me pay my employee

The Payroll Finished status indicates that the pay run processing for a specific period has been completed. This typically includes the calculation of wages, taxes, and other deductions, as well as direct deposit or paper check creation.

 

Please note that the last day of the tax year 2022/23 is April 5, 2023. This means that when you enter a paycheck for your employees, the date must be April 6 or later. It's important to follow the guideline to ensure that your records are accurate and complies with HMRC requirements.
