Good day, lizhowells44.

We take performance issues seriously.

Most-used pages in QuickBooks Online are expected to load in 10 seconds. We also monitor our systems to ensure we are meeting this goal.

If you're having speed issues, let's check out the following:

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date and meets the basic requirements to help narrow down the reason for slow performance: System requirements for QuickBooks Online.
  • Verify your internet speed (bandwidth) is not limiting your QuickBooks Online experience. Run a Speed Test to confirm your bandwidth/the speed of your connection.

If everything's okay and you're still having the same issue, we can perform the basic troubleshooting steps on your browser.

Sometimes, corrupted file cache stored in your browser might be the reason why you have this unusual behavior.

Let's start with opening your QuickBooks Online account on a private browser or incognito. This mode will not save any browsing history.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Next, run your QuickBooks Online Payroll. If the page loads faster, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing cache helps resolve certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on websites.

Finally, close and reopen your to refresh the settings.

Using a different supported browser can be a good alternative too.

For reference on the information above, you can read this article: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?.

Please keep me posted on how it goes from your end. I'm determined to get this fixed for you. Thanks for coming to the Community, I'll be standing by for your response.
