Welcome to the Community, @geedaniel82.

We want to help you connect your bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed. However, I need more information about the results during the sync process.

Also, can you share what account type you're trying to connect (i.e. current account, credit card, loan)? Any additional information will help ensure a timely solution on this.

To ensure you connect to the correct bank or credit card account, I suggest using the bank's URL from the search field (see screenshot below).

In the meantime, you can check the following articles about connecting an account, as well as importing transactions manually into QuickBooks:

Please know that you're always welcome to post any questions you have in this space. Have a great day ahead.

I appreciate you for providing additional information about connecting your Barclays current account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), geedaniel82.

The message you encountered usually indicates that there are alerts from Barclays' website that requires your attention. Let me provide further details about this.

Here are some examples of messages that need your immediate action:

  • New terms of service
  • A special offer
  • An announcement regarding a maintenance or other site changes

To resolve this, I'd recommend signing in to Barclays' website and work through any messages that require a response from you. Once everything is all set, go back to QBSE and update your bank by clicking Reconnect on the Bank accounts page.

Furthermore, if you wish to learn more about QBSE's new connection to your financial institutions, kindly refer to this article: Bank Feeds Direct Connect FAQ in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It also contains the link about manually importing transactions using a CSV file in the How much historical data does the new connection bring in? section.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
