Question

Hi, both myself and my husband have been taking a small salary as directors with no other employees but would like to suspend this temporarily. how do i do this?

I have changed our pay frequency to irregular (we have taken a monthly salary to date) and believe i still need to send a submission to HMRC so tried to run payroll without either of us on it but quick books doesn't seem to like this. I also do not seem to have an exclude button in payroll which i have read elsewhere so have had to untick us instead. 
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi donna-murphy-hen If there is a period of non payment this month then you would have to submit an EPS in between the 6th and the 19th of the following month. As you're using the Core payroll system then you wouldn't run the payroll for this month and when the 6th of the following month is reached and you change the pay period to the following month the EPS should be automatically produced.
