Question

Hi, it's been impossible to access Payroll (& Payroll tax) for last 2 weeks. The pages would not load. Any known issue? Pretty problematic to say the least!!!

I checked our records and I can't see any open alerts about customers not being able to access the Payroll section of QBO, Geraldine.

 

Let's try a couple of steps to check if this is caused by a browser issue. 

 

First, start an incognito or private browsing session by following these steps depending on the browser that you're using:

 

  • CTRL + Shift + N for Chrome
  • CTRL + SHIFT + P for Mozilla
  • Go to File, then click New Private Window if you're using Safari.

Second, log back in and access the Payroll menu. Then, create a sample payroll transaction to test if you're able to do it.

 

Third, switch back to the original or regular browsing session if everything is already working fine. Then, proceed to deleting the temporary saved files and stored cache in your browser. Here's an article for more details: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.

 

Another option is to switch to any of these supported browsers to further isolate the issue:

 

  • Google Chrome.
  • Mozilla Firefox. 
  • Microsoft Edge.
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only).
