Hello Workshop consumables,

Before we can add a bin/location to a product, we'll need to turn on the Location/Class tracking in QuickBooks Online. Note that this feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced. If you're using Simple Start or Essentials, I'd recommend upgrading your plan.

We can only assign a single location for the entire transaction. Meanwhile, class can be set up for the entire transaction or for every item. Based on your question, I'll bet you'll want to turn on the Class tracking. Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab and go to the Categories section.
  3. Mark the Track classes box and select One to each row in transaction in the Assign classes field.
  4. Click Save and Done.

After that, you can start creating classes: Create and manage classes in QuickBooks Online.

Then, you can edit the items and assign the classes one at a time.

You might also find this link helpful regarding the location tracking: Set up and use location tracking.

Feel free to get back to us if you have additional questions about the process. Have a great day!

If this location bin is something to do with recording purposes, you can create a product and services item then add the location bin in Item/Service code, but still the report you can pull up will depends on the name of the product and services. Hope this thins can help you.
