How do I change account from self employed to business with an employee

Let me help you with upgrading your QuickBooks account, arealgoodclean-g. 

 

I'll take it as you want to change your subscription from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account to QuickBooks Online (QBO) version. In this case, we'll have to purchase a QBO account for you to add an employee since the two are different versions. Let me guide you how:

  1. Go to this page: QuickBooks Online Plans & Pricing.
  2. Select your preferred version.
  3. Continue with the on-screen instructions to successfully purchase one.

 

If you no longer use the QBSE account, you can cancel it to avoid a double subscription. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
  2. Click the Gear icon on the top menu
  3. Select Billing Info.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription.
