I have set them up using one of my 5 for 5 licences, so can accept continuing to pay the monthly fee, but can I get rid of the payroll charge?

Hi Fox144,

Thanks for joining this thread. 😊

You can cancel the payroll subscription for your client on wholesale billing by going to the Cog Wheel within your QBOA account > Subscriptions and billing > Select the drop-down in the action column > Cancel payroll.

I'd like to explain how payroll works in QuickBooks Online UK, karen.

For now, we're unable to turn off the payroll functionality. To get rid of any payroll charges, you'll have to stop running payroll or creating any paychecks.

I know turning off this feature is convenient for you to make sure you'll not acquire any charges at all. I'll forward your concern to our higher management so they can help us submit it to our product developers. This will be assessed and might be included in future updates.

Please know we're right here if you need help from us.

I want to turn off payroll in the UK for a client, how do I do this?  In the US it is done via Billing and Subscription, which I obviously don't have for the client as it is under my wholesale billing.

Thank you
