How do i pay 8 weeks notice in lieu to an employee ?

I'd be glad to help you pay notice of lieu for your employee in QuickBooks Online. If you're using the QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll, you can pay your employee by creating an unscheduled payroll.

 

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Employees and select Run payroll.
  3. Select a pay schedule, then Continue.
  4. Select the employees you want to pay.
  5. Verify if you have selected the correct bank account, pay period, and pay date.
  6. Modify the pay date as needed.
  7. Change the employee's pay method as needed.
  8. Enter hours worked if applicable. TIP: you can hide or show pay types by selecting the Settings ⚙ icon below the TOTAL PAY.
  9. Select Preview Payroll.
  10. To edit or preview a specific cheque, select the Edit ✎ icon next to the cheques' net pay, then select OK when done.
  11. When you're ready, select Submit payroll.
  12. You're all set! To print pay cheques, select Print pay cheques, then Finish payroll.
