How do I really create a total hours worked by employee report?

Let me help you run a report that will show how many hours your employee had worked in a given time period. 

To do this pull up the report Time Activities by Employee Detail. Here's how:
 

1. Go to Reports.
2. In the Search field, enter the word time and select Time Activities by Employee Detail on the dropdown lists.
3. On the Time Activity Date field, enter the exact date range. 
4. Tick Run report. It will then show each employee's total working hours.
   

Moreover, you can also customise your report to show specific employees, or format layout so the right data shows up.
