How do I set up payroll to be able to show me paying myself?

Good day, @rtn-limited-gmai! I'll make sure you'll be able to pay yourself on Payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

You'll want to set yourself up as an employee to include yourself in the Payroll. Follow these steps to proceed:

 

  1. Go to the Employees or Payroll menu, then select the Employees tab.
  2. Select Add your first employee.
  3. Fill in the legal first name and last name, then select Add my Employee.
  4. Fill in the gender, date of birth, email address, and address. select Save and next.
  5. Enter the start date, pay type, and how much you pay yourself.
  6. Fill in the employee's tax information, then select Save and next.
  7. Review the information on the last page. If you are happy with this, or if you need to make any changes, select Done.
