Hello there, @heidi41. I've got your back, and I'll help you get through this and submit an EPS in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before we do so, may I ask what version of payroll you're currently using? This way, I'll be able to provide you with a suitable resolution to your concern.

If you're using QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll, these are the things you need to ensure before you submit an EPS:

  • Make sure you have processed all pay periods for the month (each tax month runs from the 6th of the month to the 5th of the next month).
  • Check that you are submitting between the 20th of the current tax month and the 19th of the following month.

Once you're ready, here's how you can submit an EPS:

  1. Go to Taxes and select Payroll tax (Take me there).
  2. Find the EPS filing that is Due now. If it's Overdue, the EPS will show the date it was supposed to be sent.
  3. Select the EPS and view the details.
  4. If are submitting for the first time, enter your HMRC credentials then select Submit.
