Question

I am running a P60 for W1/M1 employee and it is not showing the total earnings for the year. It shows some of the total from March 2021 salary. Is this a bug?

Hello there, @anaskilbeck.

Let me share some information about generating the P60 report.

You'd want to make sure that you've recorded your employees payroll information paid outside QuickBooks before running your first payroll. This will ensure accurate year-to-date (YTD) totals on paychecks. To present the payroll before M11 you'll have to enter the YTD in order for the P60 will include all payroll of the employee from M1-M12.

Also, if you're using Standard Payroll, you'd want to make sure to run your payroll payroll before downloading the P60. Here's how:

  1. Run and approve your final payroll (Week 52 or Month 12) as usual.
  2.  At the point of submitting your FPS, ensure you have the “Is this your final pay period for the current tax year?” box checked.
  3. Submit FPS and complete your end of the year declaration.
  4. Download and print your P60s using the P60 Report option.
  5. You can advance your payroll into the new tax year.

If you're using Advance payroll, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the the Employees or Payroll menu.
  2. Select Reports once the tax year has been completed.
  3. Locate the P60 report.

You can read through this article for more details about the process: Generate P60s.
