Solved

I am unable to load/preview previously submitted VAT returns - just an empty page is loading up, not showing any figures. Any ideas?

Hi Yelena,

VAT details from filings made in Desktop will not show in the VAT reports in QuickBooks Online due to the differences in VAT engines, only the filed figures will be migrated.

To see details of these returns at a transaction level you would need to refer to the filings in Desktop. Are you unable to view returns for any filings make in QuickBooks Online?

Thanks

Hello Yelena

This could be a visual error. If you are using QuickBooks Online if you can load up a private or incognito window in the browser and go this web address and select taxes on the left hand side.

If you still have an empty page if you can reply back with a screen shot of what you are seeing

Thanks

Hi Emma

I tried what you suggested but still the same problem. Please see the screenshot attached (sorry, I have 2 screens and don't know how to screenshot just one of them).

Thanks

Hello Yelena,

Please could you clear cache & cookies on your browser? Please use the following article if you are unsure how to do this: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

Make sure to select All time as the time range. Once cleared, refresh QuickBooks, log back in and try to access the return again.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks,

Talia

Hi Yelena,

Were your previous VAT returns submitted through QuickBooks Online or have you migrated those returns from another software?

Thanks

Previously my client used QB, and I believe they moved to QBO in the last 18 months or so.
