We can perform some troubleshooting to connect to HMRC, m.morey.

Let's make sure we use the correct login credentials. When signing up for MTD on the HMRC website, you’ll be asked to provide your company’s VAT registration number, Government Gateway user ID, and password to register for MTD services. Once your application is accepted, you’ll receive an email confirmation from HMRC (usually within 48 to 72hrs) which contains your new MTD login details. Use this to authorise QuickBooks and connect to HMRC

For accountants, we'll need to set up your agent services account (ASA) for MTD on the HMRC website. This is different from your HMRC online services for agents' accounts. Then, check if you're using the right VAT registration number. The VAT registration number should be the same as the one you used when you signed up for MTD. To check if you’re using the correct VRN, follow Step 1 in Setting up and edit VAT settings in QuickBooks. If you have recently signed up to MTD, it will take up to 24 hours for HMRC’s systems to update.
