Question

I would like to know how I can amend an employee earning to date record. I have an employee who had hours paid they did not work and I need to report negative payslip.

I'm here to ensure that this payslip concern gets sorted out, @martinobu.

Let me get you pointed in the right direction to help you with correcting your payslip in QuickBooks Online.

To fix this matter, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This is because being able to enter a negative figure on your employees' paycheck isn't applicable. This way, our team can help check if you can still edit historical paychecks so you can add the deduction to offset the overpayment.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Click on Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Hit on the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Press on Let's talk.
  5. Select on Get a callback.
  6. Key in your contact details, then tap on Confirm my call.

I'm also adding this great reference that you can check out to give you insights about managing employees' paycheck and info in QBO: Add, update an employee record in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know how the conversation goes. I'll be around to assist you if there's anything else that you need. Keep safe!
