Thank you for contacting us, tristan6.

Let me help check why you don't have the Overview page. There's a possibility that you miss some information during the setup.

Before you can run payroll, especially if this is your first time running payroll, make sure you:

If an employee is marked as incomplete on the employee list, you can go into their settings to check and edit their details so that they’ll show up as complete.

If everything looks good and you're still unable to run payroll, let's isolate this by performing some troubleshooting steps.

To start, log into your QuickBooks account in a private browser or incognito. A regular browser's cache stores temporary internet files from your browsing history.

However, as it collects too many files, this may cause performance issues in your account. This might be the reason why you access payroll.

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl+ Shift + N keys on your keyboard (Google Chrome)
  • Press Ctrl+ Shift + P keys on your keyboard (Firefox or Internet Explorer)
  • Press Control+ Option + P keys on your keyboard (Safari)

If the private browsing session works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. You can also do this task on other supported, up-to-date browsers

Once done, go back to the regular browser and access your QuickBooks account. Then, check again if you can now run payroll. Check out this article to guide you through the process: How to run payroll in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.

If you're still unable to run payroll, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Live Team. They can pull up your account and review the setup of your payroll.

Keep me posted if you have additional questions about running payroll. I'll be around to help you.
